suspension coil broke
By Iggy, June 13, 2008

This car was purchased by me 4 years back, and it is had relatively few issues. I adore the inexpensive functions such as for instance a/d & disc, and classic design, which still appears present (heck, I believe they truly are still being constructed as fleet vehicles). Our critique is by using the substandard supplies utilized in the making-of this vehicle. After corroding this past year, the split point rush. I was in my own garage but simply might have had total split disappointment on the highway. Winter sodium may be at fault but I believe Western vehicles utilize anti-corrosive components. A suspension coil shattered, this week. The vehicle was sitting in the garage, and instantly several inches were slipped by the driver's side wheel. The fix to even it out has ended $700, that will be cheaper than the usual new-car for both sides. What'll hand out next I wonder. Again, Ny potholes may be at fault. The vehicle is not-too large, comfy, spacious, and quick. After I possessed a '92 VW Passat, the timing belt broke, and the VW never ran more than a week at a time created for eternity but the 4 cyl and again. inside & The body of the Passat were incredible. Motor was an unique bit of rubbish. I wish I'd held my Mitsubishi Mighty Max. About The Malibu, the color is just starting to bubble round the gasoline container. Among the Malibuis tail-lights lost water in to the shoe and has usually loaded with water. The water then collects inside the spare-tire tank. This unpleasant water stops in the wintertime, gradually eroding the underside of the shoe, and is difficult to escape. The problem was just somewhat increased by a brand new tail-light construction. The tail-light rubber seals are cheaply-made. This Malibu could be taken by me aside using a screw-driver, which also causes it to be more straightforward to repair for technicians.

Worst car I have EVER owned!
By Done With Repairs, March 23, 2008

I purchased my Malibu LS about four years back, and less than 6 months after purchasing it, I was compelled to eliminate over $1K into it simply to get it going again. ever since then, it's been only a frustration for me personally and has nearly spent additional time inside the store than being pushed. I've placed nearly just as much money into keeping it working as I allocated to the price. Each time I get something major onto it something else major breaks or chips or hits up and/or changed, mounted. On setting it up working again I simply invested about $1k, and the motor has become smoking. I won't 'repair' it again, and am now looking for an Audi or VW. I'll never, EVER, purchase a Chevy again, and I'd like to have my 1985 Nissan hatchback back.
